Services / Automation & PLC · North Vancouver
Siemens PLC Automation, Control Panels And Machine Retrofits.
Siemens SIMATIC programming, control panel design and build, machine retrofits and HMI integration for manufacturing and process clients across Greater Vancouver.
Scope of work
Six Things We Get Called For.
Most automation work arrives as one of these. If yours doesn’t fit neatly, call anyway — the site assessment is free either way.

PLC Programming
Structured, commented ladder — not a black box. Tag tables and program source are handed over at completion, so you are never locked to one integrator.

Panel Design & Build
Designed, fabricated and wired in our North Vancouver shop, then point-to-point checked on the bench before it is ever trucked to site.

Machine Retrofits
Obsolete controllers and failed relay racks replaced without scrapping a machine that still runs. Staged over a shutdown window you choose.

HMI & SCADA
Alarms written in plain language, trends, recipe handling and secure remote access — built around your process rather than a stock template.

Drives & Motor Control
VFD sizing and parameterisation, motor control centre work, e-stop circuits, safety relays and guard interlocks verified against the signed sequence.

Instrumentation
Transmitter installs, loop calibration, network commissioning and full I/O verification — every point exercised and initialled before start-up.
What you are handed
The Documentation Is Part Of The Job.
A machine you cannot maintain is a machine you will replace early. Everything below is included in the quoted price — not billed back afterwards.
Schematic set
PDF & native, revision controlled
Annotated PLC program
Source included — no lock-in
Sequence of operations
Written in plain language
Workmanship warranty
Twelve months, in writing
What we do
Four Stages, In Order.
Each stage closes before the next opens, and you get something tangible at the end of every one.
Stage 01
Site Assessment
We walk the plant, mark up whatever drawings exist, count live I/O and confirm the capacity available in the service. If the machine is down, this happens the same day where we can get to you.
Stage 02
Sequence Of Operations
A written sequence in plain language, agreed and signed before a single wire is pulled. Scope, exclusions and shutdown window are all named in the same document.
Stage 03
Shop Build & Program
Panel fabricated, wired, ferruled and labelled in North Vancouver. Logic written and simulated off-line against the SOO, so site time is commissioning rather than development.
Stage 04
Commission & Hand Over
Loop checks, functional testing and inspection, then as-built drawings, annotated program source and a training session with the operators who will actually run it.
Common questions
Asked Before Most Quotes.
Most automation work arrives as one of these. If yours doesn’t fit neatly, call anyway — the site assessment is free either way.
Do we own the PLC program when the job is finished?
Yes. Annotated source and symbol tables are handed over at completion, along with the schematics. You are free to have anyone maintain it afterwards — including us.
Our controller is twenty years old and out of support. Is a full replacement the only option?
Not usually. We assess what still earns its place — mechanics, motors, sensors — and migrate only the control layer. Most retrofits keep the machine and replace the logic, drives and panel around it.
How long can the line be down?
You set the window and we build to it. Because the panel is fabricated and the program simulated off-line beforehand, site time is commissioning rather than development — which is what keeps shutdowns short.
Do you work outside Siemens?
Siemens SIMATIC is our specialty and where we do the deepest work. We support and service other platforms, and we’ll say plainly at the assessment if another integrator is the better fit for your equipment
